SEPTEMBER 10
FROM THE PA DIARY OF BECCA THURMAN

Right now I'm at the Waterford Inn, Walt told me to come make sure the place is decent enough for the actors to stay here. I'm supposed to go on to the Old Mill next, to check it out and get directions...but I just found some old brochure and it's got the address on it, so I'm going to head home and write up directions there. I'm gonna go by the office in case Bob Barrenger's there. He had to fly in for a final fitting before we start shooting (I guess they were having some problems making his wardrobe fit). He came in last night and Lisa (another PA) picked him up at the airport. She said his hair was totally perfect even after a six hour flight! Lisa had to bring her little sister along too but Bob was totally cool about it and he even said that he liked her "look" and she should be in the movie. God I bet he's sexy in that fireman's uniform, you know I should be working base camp... Walt still won't let up about the dead horse scene. He doesn't understand that there's laws against that stuff now. Many laws. You can't even let an animal get hurt on the set, let alone execute one on camera. I don't know, but I'll keep looking. One guy in New Hampshire would've sold me his pony after I told him how much the studio would pay, but then his little girl came chasing after me screaming and crying so he took it back. When I worked on Walt's last film, "Congestion" he made some strange requests but most of them were legal. Anyway, that was L.A., not colonial New England. I'm very excited to meet Claire Wellesley, I've heard fantastic things. She's a real professional. She's done serious things like hosting the benefit to save child amputees of Sierra Leone, and also the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and E!'s "Wild on Capri". She just seems so real, like honest, and real. It should be interesting. I wonder if she knows Bob?
